"Green Tea" - Scene III - The Porch

Today I'm here to tell you about the adventure behind the photo of the magnificent porch at Rochefort-en-Terre. 
So as not to spoil anything, I won't tell you the story of "Thé Vert"...

Aujourd’hui, je viens vous parler de l'aventure qui se cache derrière la photo du magnifique porche de Rochefort en Terre.
Pour ne pas vous spoiler, je ne vous raconterai rien de l'histoire de « Thé Vert »...

In my head, I had a reference image for this photo: the poster for the film "Exorcist"! Very effective! And it's a film I love, which always sends shivers down my spine when I watch it.

Dans ma tête, j'avais une image de référence pour réaliser cette photo : l'affiche du film « L'Exorciste » ! Très efficace ! Et un film que j'adore, qui me fait toujours frissonner quand je le regarde.

Based on this reference, I went to Rochefort-en-Terre to look for THE perfect location. And that's how I came across this beautiful porch belonging to an antique shop.

À partir de cette référence, je me suis rendue à Rochefort-en-Terre pour chercher LE lieu idéal. Et c'est comme cela que mon regard s'est arrêté sur ce très beau porche qui appartient à un magasin d'antiquité.

I already had permission from the town council and the mayor, but I wanted to get permission from the owners! They were kind enough to agree, and I'm very grateful to them! I was even able to get them to switch on their two lights...

Unfortunately, there was an initial mix-up... At our first appointment, the owners, who are elderly people, left the lights on for five minutes. Then it was pitch black! It was impossible to contact them and Yoann and I stood there like two marmots, unable to understand what had happened. I hadn't even finished my settings.

J'avais déjà l'autorisation de la ville et du maire, mais je souhaitais obtenir l'autorisation des propriétaires ! Ces derniers ont eu la gentillesse d'accepter et je leur en suis très reconnaissante ! J'ai même pu obtenir qu'ils allument leurs deux lumières...

Malheureusement, il y a eu un premier cafouillage... Lors de notre premier rendez-vous, les propriétaires, qui sont des personnes âgées, ont laissé les lumières allumées cinq minutes. Puis le noir ! Impossible de les contacter et Yoann et moi sommes restés comme deux marmottes à l’affût, incapable de comprendre ce qui s'était passé. Je n'avais même pas fini mes réglages.

When I contacted them again later, I learned that they thought five minutes was enough and had gone to bed! At the second appointment, they left the lights on for longer and I was able to take my photo with great relief and contentment.

En les recontactant plus tard, j'ai appris qu'ils pensaient que cinq minutes étaient suffisantes et qu'ils étaient partis se coucher ! Lors du second rendez-vous, ils ont laissé les lumières plus longtemps et j'ai pu réaliser ma photo avec un grand soulagement et contentement.

Once again, I used smoke bombs? The effect is as incredible as ever, to create a strange, eerie atmosphere. Control is always a bit complicated...

Cette fois encore, j'ai utilisé des fumigènes ! L'effet est toujours aussi incroyable pour créer une ambiance étrange et inquiétante. Le contrôle par contre, est plus compliqué ...
