In 1913, she married Williams Heelis, a notary of Lake District. From this date she devotes herself less to writing and illustration; she gradually abandons Peter Rabbit to devote herself, with her husband, to the rural life and in particular to the breeding of sheep Herdwick, breed of native sheep. Mrs. Heelis is indeed a woman different from the young Potter and at 47, loved, accompanied by a man who shares his love of nature, she no longer needs his world of paper to fill his loneliness.

The house, dating from the nineteenth, seems narrow and small, we would surely died of a concussion by living this place ;) It is quite warm and gives a beautiful image of the life of the author. It was a pleasant and peaceful moment in the land of remembrance and dreams ...
