Stay in London : V&A and Camden Town

We have just returned from a short stay in London!

I lived there during a year, 10 years ago ! And it was fun to come back to this capital as a tourist!

We visited the Victoria & Albert Museum, at the base we wanted to see the Dior exhibition, but it was already sold out ... Never Mind, this museum is already full of wonders without this exhibition.

Nous revenons tout juste d'un petit séjour à Londres ! 

J'y ai vécu un an, il y a 10 ans tout pile ! Et c'était amusant de revenir dans cette capitale en touriste ! 

Nous avons visité le Victoria & Albert Museum, à la base nous voulions voir l'exposition Dior, mais elle était déjà complète toute la semaine... Tant pis, ce musée regorge déjà de merveilles sans cette exposition et nous nous sommes laissés happer.

On aimait bien ce gisant qui, au lieu d'avoir un animal à ses pieds,  a carrément une femme !

I was very happy to discover an exhibition on photography inside the Victoria & Albert Museum! The opportunity to see and even touch some old camera or observe old photos that I only knew from the internet! AWESOME ! It made me crave to continue my approach of old cameras.

J'ai été vraiment contente de découvrir une exposition sur la photographie à l'intérieur du Victoria & Albert Museum ! L'occasion de voir et même de toucher certains vieux appareils ou d'observer de vieilles photos que je connaissais seulement d'internet! GENIAL ! Ca m'a donné follement envie de poursuivre ma démarche avec de vieux appareils photos. 

There were even photographs of Julia Margaret Cameron, one of our favorite photographers!

Il y avait même des photographies de Julia Margaret Cameron, une de nos photographes favorites !

There was even an exhibition on the evolution of fashion:

Il y avait même une exposition sur l'évolution de la mode : 

I had trouble to find my way again in London, except in Camden !!!! Even if this district has changed a lot, I think. There are fewer alternative styles, and fires and reconstructions have given a "tidy" and more conventional look to this unusual neighborhood. Tourists seem to have driven out the marginal population. I am curious to have the opinion of the English people.

It was the first walk in this neighborhood for Yoann.

J'ai eu du mal à retrouver mes marques sauf à Camden !!!! Même si ce quartier a énormément changé je trouve. On y rencontre moins de styles alternatifs et les incendies et reconstructions ont conférés un air "rangé" et  plus conventionnel à ce quartier qui sortait de l'ordinaire. Les touristes semblent avoir chassés la population marginale. Je suis curieuse d'avoir l'avis des anglais. 

C'était la première ballade dans ce quartier pour Yoann.
